One Year On
By Jeannette | October 12, 2017
I didn’t realise it was a year today since my first both-feet operation, hasn’t it flown by?
And, of course, when I did remember, I wondered how I should feel about it, bearing in mind it wasn’t a successful procedure and I’m currently 7 weeks post-op from the first remedial one in my right foot.
It hasn’t been an easy year, I’ve experienced nerve pain and walking difficulties and it’s really affected my wellbeing, as you’d expect.
But enough of the negativity, I am so so pleased with how the first remedial operation went and cannot wait until next Tuesday when I have an X-ray and a check-up and hopefully dates for the remedial operation on my left foot will be discussed.
Above all, I’m grateful that the surgeon agreed to do these remedial operations because it is going to be so worth it – I might do a L’Oréal hair flick there!
I’m sitting in D’s SN school hall, watching her have an absolutely fantastic time at a school disco, there must be 30 pupils from her school here, all dancing in their own ways, having fun.
I can’t think of a more positive way to spend 12th October 2017, one year on, my word(s) of the week Jx

Ah it’s a shame the first of didn’t work but I’m glad the repair work is helping you. Your daughter looks like she is having a wonderful time at the disco! x
