Stocking filler ideas

By | July 28, 2017

I know, you’re thinking “it’s July, why is she writing about stocking fillers?!?”

Well, I’m a great one for seeing things that may be suitable for Christmas in sales/shops,  buying them and squirrelling them away (and more often than not, forgetting where I’ve put them!).

Recently we’ve been sent a few items that would make fun stocking fillers so I thought I’d collate them here.

A Thumb Chuck from Zing, there are many ways you can play with this and even a free app, search for Thumb Chucks.

Available from Amazon at £6.99 and will provide hours of fun for T. I like the way that different colour combos can be achieved by purchasing additional ones and mixing the colours up.

Could this be the new fidget spinner?

Next up, we have a couple of high-quality notebooks from Doodle Collection:

I love notebooks and always carry one around for thoughts/list writing.

The “Good Vibes Only” notebook will be perfect for D as she’s recently started writing a (positive thoughts) diary and the Goals one is unisex, isn’t it? Great for anyone to jot aspirations down and there’s a magnetic tab to close and keep it secure too.

Available direct from doodlecollection.com or via Amazon.

I’m a bit of a dental care fan and DenTek sent us a selection from their range:

Firstly, these lip balms would be great for Candy Crush fans, with Bubblegum Bridge, Peppermint Palace, Chocolate Mountains and Lemonade Lake flavours:

Lemonade Lake is our favourite here!

And these ever-so-cute Toothbrush Covers for younger children, a hygienic way of storing a little one’s toothbrush and there is a suction cup on the back so it affixes to a mirror or glass:

I didn’t realise until I saw these below that there were Flossers for children, with added fluoride and there’s also tooth whitening floss picks for adults, the Easy Brush cleaners would be great to keep in a handbag for when out:

And lastly this, for the men in your life.  A fun (but very necessary) one!

A motion-activated toilet night light from Illumibowl.com in eight colours! The colours can either be set or rotated with one button and also with a three-stage dimmer.

So, as the packaging says:

Some fun and quirky ideas, aren’t they?

What do you normally put into Christmas stockings?

How can you even be thinking of Christmas in July?! Mad woman! Nah, just kidding. I try to buy a few bits and bobs through the year but I always lose them before Christmas! I do love your selection though. Always love a bit of notepads.

Lol, thanks!
The thought of being potentially laid up for the rest of the year after two operations shortly is forcing me to get organised, all good fun

That is pretty organised!! I sometimes get a few bits in September, and always mean to finish early, but invariably I’m still shopping on Christmas Eve!!

Weirdly I was far more organised when I worked fulltime, I guess it’s because I had lunch hours to do shopping

It’s strange to be thinking of Christmas now but I’ve been to a few events that have had me thinking of Christmas too. These are great ideas.

I would never have thought to put practical gifts in stockings like the dental and toilet ones but actually, they look quite fun. I do love a novelty item and that toilet light actually looks useful! x
