Routine – Tues 7th June 2016
By Jeannette | June 7, 2016
Oh, our ongoing electricity issues are causing problems here.
Problems with – not just the blooming inconvenience of only having one useable kitchen socket – the fact I can’t use our oven as electricity is needed for the ignition (or whatever it’s called) of the oven.
And routine.
Tuesday to T and D means a specific tea, one of the only times they’ll eat the same food and that T will have hot food. That couldn’t happen today.
Luckily, my rather wonderful Hubbie brought home a takeaway but that isn’t a long term solution. It just feels like people on the other end of a phone are quick to sympathise but can’t suggest anything to actually help.
I’ll bet that not many people are aware that re-wiring and replacement of electric circuits aren’t covered by either home contents or buildings insurance. It would be different if we’d had a fire, thankfully we didn’t. It’s not covered by these so-called emergency response plans either.
But, on the bright side, T and D had their usual, routine, meal today. In the negative corner, nearly a week on, we’re no closer to a resolution.
Happy days (scrub happy, replace with stressed).

It’s getting ridiculous now, you can’t live without it! I’m glad you’ve been able to keep a little bit of routine, I know how vital that can be x

I know. Really hoping that the phone call I’ve been promised tomorrow brings some good news.
I got told yesterday that, as the “dangerous” circuits are turned off, it’s not really an emergency.
Might not be for them!!! X
