Prompts – Fri 6th May 2016

By | May 6, 2016

D was angry again this morning, is it terrible to admit that I can’t remember why? It’s been a very emotional, long week.

So nervy was I this morning, that I managed to try and explain by phone T’s absence from school to D’s school! I felt a bit silly afterwards…

Fast forward to this afternoon and D was still unhappy at home time, her basket she’d made and lost yesterday hadn’t been found and although she’d been allowed to make another one, she was annoyed.

That’s all changed a little later on though.  I’d found an Oliver Twist book in our local bookshop and bought it as a reminder of her performance in Oliver, thought it would be useful as conversational prompts.

She absolutely loves it! She’s been reading from it, whilst singing the songs. It will be a very useful tool in the future.

And D’s best bit of the week at tea time was “now”, another prompt reminded her that she’s done fantastically well and brought home a medal on Wednesday and a place in a pantathlon final.

No prizes for guessing mine and Hubbie’s!

Just remembered what caused this morning’s anger and anxiety, it was over swimming and the fact our paddling pool would be too small to practice in, I need to get my thinking cap on.
