Activity – Weds 20th April 2016

By | April 20, 2016

As she predicted, D loved her activity day today, absolutely loved it.

Her day started brilliantly with a sunny walk to school and then seeing a chick hatch on a live webcam from one of the school classrooms.  How brilliant for the pupils is that? That they’ve been able to see that during the day.

D had a brilliant time at the activity day and I’m so proud of what was written in her diary:

“A good team member” stands out for me and that she tried a new activity, archery, which she has been extremely enthusiastic about.

I might have to see if there are any SN archery clubs around, she’s so good at her hand-eye co-ordination, contact sports (football, rounders, cricket) which are faster-paced worry her a great deal but tennis, badminton and golf are activities she enjoys.

And the crate-stacking she was so looking forward to? She got to do it, not once, but twice!

Chick count at the end of the day was three.  Three lovely little fluffy chicks wandering around on the webcam.  I think there were six or so eggs left to hatch, I wonder how many we’ll see tomorrow?

It sounds like she had a brilliant day and definitely worth finding an archery club for her! Good hand-eye co-ordination is a great thing to have (I know, because mine is terrible!).

Isn’t it great when you find an activity they enjoy. I hope there is a local group that she could attend #SSAmazingAchievements
