A Meal – Sun 14th Feb 2016

By | February 14, 2016

I had it all planned, Hubbie and I would be having one of those Valentine’s Day meal deals today.  Probably not all courses at once, a starter with some veggie equates to a meal here but something rather nice all the same.

The whole Valentine’s Day thing is very commercialised, isn’t it? If I want to tell my Hubbie I love him, I will – and I do – I don’t wait until one day when it’s all meant to be hearts, flowers and mushy stuff just because…

Anyway, like all things that we try to plan in advance, it didn’t work out like that but that is fine.  More than fine. T – who regular readers will know, have been ill this last week and barely eating – requested his favourite (and virtually the only one that he’ll eat) takeaway meal for today and so we all had that, T eating a decent amount for the first time in 8 days.

We’re so relieved that he seems to be turning a corner in starting to get better, he has very limited food tastes anyway and the fact he’d brought food back earlier in the week, had made him a very reluctant eater – if at all.

The slushy meal can wait, getting some food back into our son and all enjoying the same meal at the same time, matters far more.

Hope T is feeling better now. We don’t do Valentines Day at all here!

So happy T is imoroving and I recognize that relief. My son has a massive fear of bringing back food.

I would have done the same thing, I’m glad T wanted to eat and hopefully he enjoyed it. I hope you did have your planned meal in the end.
