Lists – This Week’s #WOTW and #R2BC
By Jeannette | January 14, 2016
As I’m scheduling this post, D is happily splashing around with bubbles singing away to a song from Oliver. She’s got a part in the choir for the school production this term (eek!) and has to practice, practice and practice. Early signs are that she’s going to be fab, she does love to sing – unless last minute anxieties overtake.
It’s an indication that the first half (if not the second too) of this year is going to be busy and I’m making full use of lists, which has to be my word for this week.
I found this image online and the “eventually” bit made me chuckle because, were I to fill it in, it would be full of pipe dreams, those things I’d like to get done around the house but time and resources don’t permit at the moment.
But anyway, lists rule this week. Lists in my phone and written in my take-everywhere notebook, lists for shopping, lists of phone calls, emails, appointments. You name it, they’re written/noted down somewhere.
It’s great when I can tick something off/delete a note, but what else is making me happy this week (the R2BC bit)?
1. Singing – I love to hear D sing, it’s a good indicator that she’s happy. Tonight it’s been “Food, Glorious Food” as she gets to grips with memorising the tune.
2. Thinking Slimmer – I started a 12 week course of this on Monday, feeling a bit sceptical as to whether it would work or not (first post to follow). I have to admit that it seems to be. As opposed to being a diet, the pods to listen to work on changing mindset and how food is approached. As someone who’s always been very interested in psychology, I’m definitely finding it “food for thought” (pun intended).
3. New Role – I mentioned that my voluntary role had expanded somewhat and one of the reasons for so many lists is this:
This and other changes were all announced on Monday and I’m very pleased to have this opportunity in what is going to be an extremely busy but exciting time *puts down speech*.
4. Cosy – last by no means least, Hubbie and I treated ourselves in the sales to a new duvet. The other one was getting a bit silly with the feathers contained (or not) within seeming to leave home. To say that it’s snuggly is an understatement and extremely welcome now that the weather has turned a bit seasonal.
A good week here, how’s yours been?

I love a good list! In fact, I’ve just written mine for today, and there’s a lot on it! Sounds like you’re needing yours, with so much going on 🙂 Thanks for sharing with #WotW x

Congratulations to D on getting the part and to you in your new role.
I know what you mean about the lists – but today I checked back on my master to do list for 2015, and I’d actually achieved almost everything!

I love lists too, it helps keep thought process in order I find, even if it doesn’t get done. I like the ‘eventually’ idea! 😉 #WoTW

I’m a lover of lists too, so I can relate to this post. I do love the ‘eventually’part too, made me smile!!
Sounds like D is really loving her part in the play, I think it’s great to hear signing around the house and the play is a good way to build confidence. Hope it all goes well xx

I too love lists. It’s so satisfying crossing things off them!

I love a new duvet, it always seems like such an indulgence. I hope the anxieties aren’t too bad, re the choir, because she would probably love it if she got past them. You will be awesome in your new role, I know you will, because you’re incredible! You are what I want to be, when I grow up! haha x
