Wheeeeeeee! – Mon 7th Dec 2015

Big, big smiles from D as soon as she woke up today. She’s struggled recently with timetable changes at school as Christmas looms and today meant a big change, one that she was very much looking forward to.
Her class was going snow tubing! It was to be their Christmas treat, part funded by school and parents. It probably helped that it wasn’t a lesson being changed around, this was an all day event. She loved it!
This isn’t D obviously but the joy in the cartoon face is how I imagine D must have looked, whizzing down the slopes.
She could not wait to get down the stairs at the end of the day and tell me about it, chatting about the speed of the ride down (she does love fast rides) and how they whizzed down individually, in pairs and in a group. It was really good to see her so animated and full of chit chat, it’s not often that she can hold a to-and-fro conversation for any length of time, today she had just so much to say about her fun-packed time.
It was lovely. I wish I’d been there to see her happy squeals as she whizzed down, but the advantage is that, now she’s been to this new venue once and loved trying it out, she should be open to trying it again sometime. Hope so.

Sounds like a lovely day. I’ve never heard of snow tubing, but it sounds like great fun! Glad she loved it! #SSAmazingAchievements

Christmas is chaos at schools, our eldest copes but is always super excited and takes ages to calm down once he’s home. Typical the time I need it most and the trampoline is outside in the dark and wet. Well done D.

What a fabulous school trip and well done D I’m not sure I would have been so brave. We are also struggling with timetable changes. ;-(
