Merry Christmas!

By | December 24, 2015

The mince pie, carrot shavings and a smidgen of Stones Green Ginger wine have been put out and Glitter is preparing to fly away for the final time in 2015, from today’s vantage point:

We have a lot to be grateful for, we have our health (autism and sensory issues for the children aside) and we have our home.  Our home, where we can close the front door and just be us, proverbial warts n all.

The news carries such terrible items and pictures, of real life, not a video game not a film.  It’s very easy to forget that there are people suffering and people in danger.   I’ll be putting the turkey in the oven tomorrow, knowing that we’ll have a Christmas meal whilst many won’t have that luxury.  We haven’t sent cards this year and I’ll be donating what we would have spent to the special needs adventure playground where D and other local SN children have spent many happy hours.

A time to hug, to say “I love you” to those we do indeed love.  A time to remember those no longer around with happy memories.  A time to reflect and a time to make more wonderful memories.

Whatever you’re doing, whoever you’re with, have a fabulous Christmas.

The blog is having a little festive break until Monday, see you then Jx
