A fab second – Tues 8th Dec 2015

By | December 8, 2015

Before I forget (which is a distinct possibility as my brain feels a bit over-occupied), here’s where Glitter “landed” today:

Hanging around in the hall, by the front door.

And yesterday, happily clutching a satsuma (well it is nearly Christmas after all):

Onto today and, once again, D could not wait to get down the stairs from her classroom this afternoon and tell me that she’d got second place in the school’s Design a Christmas card competition.  Good eh?

Such lovely detail in her card, the Father Christmas is saying “Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas!” with the writing getting a bit squished as it nears the end of the speech bubble, bless her.

Regular readers of my blogs may recall that D received also received second place in the Summer for designing the front cover of the School’s proms program.  So, she’s consistent.  Consistently full of eagerness and plenty of detail around her pictures.

Her pictures are always a delight, she may not like writing in Christmas cards (she doesn’t) but there’s always an additional little picture on the facing page as an extra from D, sometimes it’s a parcel or a reindeer.

Her drawings are always positive too.  There’s never any sad faces or negativity.  Maybe it’s because D enjoys drawing so much that it would make her sad to draw anything other than happy images?

An additional bonus today was the chocolate that she received for second place, she gave it to me! Yum! She is always wary of unfamiliar foods or shapes and, much as she liked the Cadbury smell, she didn’t want to try it.  So I chomped it and it was rather nice!
