This week’s #WOTW and #R2BC
By Jeannette | September 24, 2015
It’s an easy one this week and very thankfully so:
Apparently the above is the emoji for RELIEF and that is a definite feel in Bluecrisps Towers (as the rather lovely Karen described us this week as it made me giggle).
Here’s why:
1. He’s a trooper!
I mentioned last week that Hubbie’s dad wasn’t feeling too great, it turned out that was a distinct understatement as he got rushed into hospital this week.
He’s a widower, he’s elderly and frail and was in a shedload of pain. Thankfully they established pretty quickly what was wrong, he’s responded fantastically to medication and he’s going home today!
Oh thank goodness! The children designed lovely “Get Well Soon” cards for him and as it’s Hubbie’s birthday tomorrow, I just hoped and hoped and hoped a bit more than all would be okay.
2. Chocolate Cake
Ooh that’s always good and a birthday is always a good reason for chocolate cake, isn’t it!
I’m so glad that all is well as per the above and that my lovely Hubbie can enjoy his birthday (apart from having to work of course).
3. Talking of which …
After the weekend my brain should not feel so frazzled. There’s a Comms event on Saturday and another (larger) one on Sunday. I’m on top of things but to just flop on the sofa on Monday would be lovely … although I have heaps of blog stuff to catch up on.
4. Timetable
And D finally has a class timetable after being back at school for three weeks. It’s not complete but it gives her a rough idea of what to expect during the school day and it’s absence had caused a lot of anxiety and problems for her, believe me.
How’s your week been?

Relief is a great word and I pleased to hear your hubbies dad is feeling better and your hubby can have a lovely birthday. We have similar problems to this too this week, fingers crossed ours turns out as well as yours. x

Phew! So glad your husband’s father is on the mend which meant you could at least celebrate his birthday without a cloud hanging over you. It’s great when you’re busy and being proactive but it does sound like you’re about ready to just flop and take a breather – that’s for next week, the end is in sight!

Greta word, glad there’s so much cause for it in your household this week and that your father-in-law is on the mend. At last, the timetable! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x

Yes, great word. I’m so pleased to hear your father in law is improving and how lovely to have him home in time to celebrate the birthday too.

It’s great that a solution has been found and that he hasn’t had that long a stay in hospital. I’m surprised that timetable’s aren’t sorted out over summer. #WoTW

Me too, it all seems to be focussed on independence and relying on them to remember things – which they don’t always!
