This week’s #R2BC and #WOTW
By Jeannette | June 4, 2015
Yippee! It’s nearly the weekend! I have to admit that the return to school didn’t go smoothly, especially for D, but all is more settled now, phew.
Anyway, as it’s Thursday, it’s time to think positively and choose a word to sum up our week.
This week it’s:
And active it has been! Here’s why, with a hefty dose of positivity:
1. The weekend saw us at a football tournament for T, all of us. D moaned all the way there and continued to do so for the next couple of days. She wasn’t happy with the unfamiliar setting, the excited children rushing past her, the footballs being kicked around close by and especially the weather. A fellow parent lent us a golf umbrella and so D had her own little space, a little dry space:
Extremely proud of both T and D, T because it was a team event and he played very well and D for being there! It was great to see T doing his role in defence, he lives and breathes football.
2. D’s sports day is two weeks today (weather permitting), her class have started practising already, so plenty of extra PE activities. It will be D’s last sports day in Primary and one in which she’ll be performing her house captain duties. She was always too scared and overcome to participate whilst in mainstream so it is wonderful to see her and the other children cheering on their friends and enjoying themselves.
3. I’ve been a bit of a gym bunny this week. My off peak membership is applicable during the school day and I’ve gone (so far) four days out of four. The gym doesn’t have the best air conditioning so, believe me, there is plenty of scope to get sweaty whilst exercising. I’ve been impressed that I haven’t woken up achy the following mornings and that those good old endomorphines are making me want to go. I’m focussing on cardio to build up stamina in preparation for (hopefully) next year.
The obligatory red-faced sweaty selfie:
4. And Hubbie has been active too. The sunnier weather means he’s working on exeterior work and getting plenty of exercise going up and down ladders. Just as well we’re not competing in Fitbit steps as he would win, hands down.
5. As a result of my feeling happier and more positive (combo of endomorphines and smiley stuff), I ordered a dress I would never have contemplated previously.
It’s purple and just lovely. Me, having a worried moment, did think “will it fit? will it be okay?” …
It’s gorgeous on. Even nicer than I envisaged. Very pleased. Yes, that is a purple Fitbit by the way…. did I mention I have a passion for purple?!?
It’s been a good week (forgetting the decidedly dodgy start). Thanks for reading Jx

Your dress is stunning, and so are you! I feel so disappointed in my steps this week, I really struggled towards the end of the week. 2 weeks and we shall meet! yay xx
