I’m Going To BritMums Live 2015

It’s been a nice, chilled day.  I can’t share any stomps, meltdowns or emotional build-ups because there haven’t been any.  Everyone needed a calm day after the “fun and games” of the last week and we thankfully had one.

So, I’m using tonight’s blog to take part in the BritMums meme in advance of BritMums Live next Friday and Saturday.

I was pleased and totally amazed to be a finalist last year and scurried up for the awards ceremony and then scarpered afterwards, to get back home.  This time, I’m going for the whole thing.  Nervous, much?

Hair:  Blonde, although I have hankerings to go darker/a caramel sort of colour 

Eyes: Blue (behind purple glasses that unfortunately turn into sunglasses at the slightest hint of sun, so they might get perched on my head quite a bit)

What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2015?

I’m looking forward to meeting bloggers that I’ve “chatted” with online.  To make the most of what will be a new experience for me.

What are you wearing? 

Purple (I luuurve purple) for the Friday and probably blue for the Saturday.

What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2015?

Having not been before, I’m looking to pick up tips and inspiration from the sessions.  To network and meet new people.   To enjoy it.

Do you have any tips to pass on to others who may not have been before?

The thing I’ll be telling myself is that everyone – no matter how confident they seem – was a newbie once.  I know everyone wears lanyards so I’m going to try and look at people’s faces before their boobs (or chest for the male bloggers!).   

I’m also going to try and ask questions at the time and not think “I’ll sound stupid” because I don’t want to be heading home on the Saturday thinking “I wish I’d asked that”.
