A DooG Day – Mon 9th Feb 2015

By | February 9, 2015

That’s how T has described his day, a DooG day.

Did you see what he did there? DooG is Good spelt backwards. It took me a couple of seconds to work it out too. I think we may have a new little phrase now!

For T, it has indeed been a good day and he’s headed off to football training very happily. He’s counting down to half term and some down time, as we all are.

D’s day didn’t start so well. She got into an absolute and complete panic over something relatively small this morning, then got upset by T, we had tears before 7.15am – not the best way to start a Monday.

She is taking part in a sports event tomorrow, which is causing her a few anxieties, not least because she wants me there. Which I can’t be, much as I would like to be, from both a geographical and a “if I’m there, she won’t want to participate, she’ll want cuddles throughout” viewpoint. Extremely proud that she has been picked nonetheless, she does struggle with team events and turn-taking.

Anxieties aside, which let’s face it are part of autism parenting, it has been quite a DooG day, I hope everyone’s has gone well too Jx
