TGIF (well for most of us!) – Fri 7th Nov 2014

By | November 7, 2014

Normally our Friday tea times are something we all look forward to, a chance to do “best, worst and funniest bits” of the week just gone.

But after a total and utter rollercoaster of emotions this week, I wasn’t sure if Hubbie and I would have any “best bits”, especially as he had to take D to school as I was ill (again) this morning.

That feeling intensified a tad when we both picked D up from school, she bolted into a corner and told me that she “didn’t want to leave school, she’d had too much fun” but was pleased to see us …hmmm, maybe that rollercoaster had worn us all down. It was then a case of keeping her from simmering over (so to speak) until we could meet T.

Admittedly, there’s been a lot of change to D’s routine this week and she absolutely loves Friday’s at school with singing in a club at lunchtime and Music, she’ll always be singing whatever they’ve been harmonising, today it was “time after time”, which kind of makes me think back to my music lessons in dingy prefab buildings and feel grateful that D enjoys it so much.

But there were some “best bits” from all at tea time (for those who ate) centring around T’s birthday and D’s focused on her day at school today. We all found some “funniest” bits too.

So, the weekend, a chance for regrouping, cuddles (for D as T doesn’t like them), football (for the menfolk) and some family time out on Sunday if these bugs are on their way out (it’s time they were).

I hope everyone’s day has gone well Jx
