When the winds blow – Sun 9th Aug 2014

By | August 10, 2014

Today has been a day of being outside and then rushing back in as a cloudburst passes overhead very quickly (or not as the case may have been).

It’s been a day of weather-watching, gosh, we’re good at that in this country. Good old Bertha or the remnants of her anyway.

A day in which D has been almost consistently cuddly (which is okay, but not if you need to go somewhere in the house/garden) and a day in which T has been a bit short and sharp with regards to any attempts at conversation. He is becoming very aware of conflicts around the world and it unnerves him when we try to explain why it’s happening. It’s a strange world for a tween to go up in, so much information available – sometimes too much – but also needing the reassurance of stability and security of his home.

When The Winds Blow seems an appropriate song to end tonight’s blog, I hope everyone’s day has gone well Jx
