Finally! Thurs 3rd July 2014

There is nothing T likes more than football-related facts and stats. He will happily compile his own leagues and write pages and pages of teams and match results.
Of course, he likes watching and playing football too, but his stats compilation is one of his calming mechanisms when things get a little bit too much. As they have been recently.
But today, things have seemed a bit brighter and he’s definitely been more tolerant of D (which is always welcomed).
It’s down to two things:
Firstly, he’s been busy at school today preparing for a football-related assembly tomorrow. The school team recently not only won an inter-schools tournament but also made the final of a County-wide cup. So, there will be facts aplenty with medals and a trophy on show tomorrow and he’s really looking forward to it.
And also this:
And this is what the “Finally” refers to, because T ordered this book with some birthday vouchers in November and it finally arrived today! At the time we didn’t think it would take this long and kept getting “your order has been delayed..” emails until the one that said we could expect delivery.
To say that he’s delighted with it is an understatement! He’s been quoting facts and stats from it and it is just the perfect book for him. He just absorbs information and his memory is incredible.
As for D, she’s been a wee bit tired in the heat but to watch D and T playing together on the trampoline for a while, until she’d had enough and wanted to get off, was very, very nice.
