Hopefully there was a lull.. Tues 25th June 2014

Oh dear, it has been “one of those days” for D.

A day that started with angst and anxiety (lots of it) over her injection with the school nurse first thing this morning.

Unfortunately the type of injection she has means that it has to be administered within a short timescale after preparation as there is a risk of solidification (yuck!) so it was a case of grappling with my wriggling, squirming girl and (almost) holding her down whilst it was administered. Afterwards D was definitely not happy. Further unhappiness when we got to her class and, because we’d been longer than usual, they’d got off to their first lesson. Another change to routine for D as we hunted out where they were and, although I didn’t want to leave her, I had to leave them all to it, because that was the best thing to do.

This afternoon she had after school cricket so T and I had our catch-up over a coffee/cooler drink. As per usual, it was football, football and more football but I did get a word in edgeways (!) and explain how his visit to his secondary school will go tomorrow. He seems fine about it, which is very encouraging.

Off to collect a tired, warm and grumpy D, I hope she had a good day inbetween!

She’s been very up and down at home, not even receptive to cuddles and hopefully melatonin and a sleep will rectify things.

Thanks for reading Jx
