The Spotty Headband #MusicMonday #WhatsTheStory

By | May 26, 2014

D is rather partial to headbands, tiaras, ribbons, clips in her hair, anything girlie. For me they’re a useful “get that fringe out of the way too”.

They all very used at school to seeing D bounce in in the mornings looking a bit like a circa-1980’s Madonna with her leggings, tutu skirts, bracelets and headbands. There is an optional uniform but she enjoys expressing herself through what she wears and, as long as they’re okay with it, so am I. It’s all part of learning to make her own decisions and D definitely rocks a headband!

It was her birthday last week and she was very lucky with the gifts she received, all very craft-orientated and just perfect. She also received a lovely pink spotty headband and (just right for D) a headband crafting kit!

She’s been very busy!

So pleased was she in fact, that she’s decided that I can have the pink spotty one! I put it on and was immediately reminded of Strawberry Switchblade and their “Since Yesterday” song (click to see the video) which I hadn’t heard for absolutely years.

That would be me! She has asked if I can wear it to the BiBs party, so I may be easy to spot (ha, pardon the pun!) …or not.

Anyway, the photo above reminded me of another song, one that was played on a music channel today – what are Hungry Eyes anyway? Another blast from the past!

Thanks Charly, she has absolutely loved crafting with all her pressies, headbands being very proudly worn 🙂
