Onwards and upwards! Sun 11th May 2014
By Jeannette | May 11, 2014
This little man has, unusually, been very cuddly today:
T doesn’t normally “do” cuddles, he will usually come up alongside Hubbie or I and place his head on an arm or shoulder, waiting for some arms to envelop him.
Today that’s all changed and also there’s been an uplift in mood, a (slight) move away from those football videos on YouTube that serve as a calming mechanism for him.
I think it’s all down to the fact that his SATs start tomorrow, they’ve been preparing for them in school for a few weeks and had the mock tests in exam conditions, T just wants them done and out of the way.
Now that this next week is in sight, he can see an end point, this time next week they’ll be all over and he’ll know he’s done his best.
We have a date (finally) for his secondary school place appeal meeting, I’m no further along with those telephone calls I was waiting to be returned last week unfortunately but tomorrow is a new day. Positivity will out!
In the meantime, those cuddles have been very welcomed, it’s been nice to give and receive them from T today. Definitely this week’s Magic Moment, linking up with @oliversmadhouse.

Oh how lovely – wishing him well in SATS – but a reminder they are as much for the teachers as the pupils – my (disabled) son did terribly but is now flying at secondary and on course to get a good bunch of at least C grade GCSEs. Very proud of him as Im sure you are of your son.

That’s such positive news for you and your son, Afra, thank you. I agree about who they’re for, I asked school when the results would be out and might not be until October! So, can’t take any indications to appeal but yes, very proud of T 🙂
