Super Saturday – 15th March 2014

By | March 15, 2014

A happy but tired D this evening and the same for T, they’ve both (separately) had a really good day! Great stuff.

Let’s start with T:

Yippee and yay because T played a football match today, his first since late November. This has been primarily due to high winds and flooded pitches/car parks, believe me, he has counted up the weeks!

He could not stop smiling his little smile as he went off this morning with Hubbie, he was really happy. They popped back to drop D and I off before they headed off to watch the men’s team. A win for both the morning and afternoon and a cheerful T at the end of the day.

D and I went to the soft play centre where she and T had had a great time at the SN session on Wednesday.

She wants her birthday party there (on a Saturday, at peak time) so I want her to get used to it being busy there, having children rush past her and obviously there will be other children there whilst her party is on. We’ll spend quite a few Saturday sessions there before her party (in May).

She did really, really well. She came back to me a few separate times saying that someone had pushed her and that she’d told a staff member, which is a complete contrast to how she is at school – ie. any situation today was dealt with by her at the time, there was no bottling up and no anger from her. I wondered if she felt more confident because she knew I was there or (more likely) that she knew that by talking to an adult about it, there was no recrimination from the other child because she’s not at school with them. I don’t know, but I was very impressed with how she coped.

And we’ve booked her party too.
She’s really looking forward to it and has definitely done well today.

I hope everyone’s had a good day, comments/RTs/shares as ever welcomed, thanks for reading Jx
