Re-charging #WobblesWednesday
By Jeannette | March 5, 2014
Spring seems to have to finally sprung and welcome to this week’s Wobbles Wednesday. We have a lovely group of regulars but everyone is welcome to join in, sharing tips/comments/healthy recipes and progress.
It’s been so nice to do school runs without getting absolutely soaked and we’re enjoying seeing the Spring flowers appearing and the birds singing, makes everything seem brighter.
I’m feeling much more positive this week, as are my scales haha! New batteries have made all the difference.
I started my 28 days of meal replacements on Saturday and, whilst I’ve enjoyed some replacements more than others, I’m sticking to it. My “crunch times” are always the evening and that would be when I’d dive into a bar of chocolate, especially when the day had not gone so well. There is a snack allowance of two biscuits/oat bites/popcorn and that’s been ok (so far).
Monday was a dreadfully stressful day; we found out that we’ll have to appeal regarding T’s secondary school place and there are ongoing medical issues with D and a total lack of communication from the hospital, I cried but I didn’t “cheat” and that’s only reinforced my determination to do this.
As my scales were so unreliable last week, I weighed myself on Saturday (with new batteries!) and then again this morning and I have lost:
*drumroll please*….
2lbs which I am very pleased about.
It feels like a good starting loss for me and if that is replicated for the next few weeks, then it will be at a good rate. Anything more and I’d probably feel
lethargic and I need my energy right now. I am still having my decaf skinny mochas, to take those away would be too much, just ensuring that if I have one, I’ll have my breakfast bar allowance with it too so I’m not tempted by anything else.
So, a positive one from me and my goals are to:
1. Continue with the same, adding in plenty of vegetables
2. Recognising that a 2lb loss, if replicated each week, will add up over time. Anything more is a bonus, anything less is okay and certainly not a reason to give up.
So, how’s everyone else been doing? Please grab my badge and link up below, I will read, comment on and share all posts.
