My Reasons To Be Cheerful #R2BC

By | March 13, 2014

Yippee! It’s nearly Friday and the sun is shining, those are two reasons for being happy today, but there are some more:

1. The sun is shining and, as a result, out have come the FitFlops. Yep, my pinkies are free after months of being squished into boots. Fab!

2. We had a brilliant evening at our local soft play centre last night, they have started running monthly sessions for SN children. Lots of pictures in last night’s diary post and both T and D loved it.

3. D and I had a girlie shopping day in town on Sunday. We coo-ed over handbags and tested lipsticks, she either walked beside me holding my hand (which was lovely) or jumped into her buggy if she got overwhelmed by people approaching, sounds or smells from a busy shopping centre.

Something I would never have imagined happening a couple of years ago, it would all have been too much sensory input for her.

4. The diet has been going well and (apart from a football-induced blip last night), I’ve stuck to it. Right back on it today and not beating myself up about afore-mentioned blip.

5. I’ve been a bit worried about Hubbie and my sister-in-law in the run up to Mothers Day but they’re coping and I had lunch with her this week which was nice (We used to work together and she introduced me to Hubbie, so I’ve known her a lot longer than him!).

Positivity is the key and, of course, the fact that it’s sunny is helping.

I’m linking this in with Becky who is hosting R2BC this month and PoCoLo with @vicwelton.

Thanks, it’s fantastic just how far she’s come in the last few years, I had a lapse on this diet but am really pleased that I’m on-the-whole sticking with it 🙂

Thanks Vicky, it was great to do the ooh-ing and aah-ing. D does like handbags, just like her mum 🙂

Thanks, I don’t like them when it’s for “boring” stuff and I always end up buying for the children, not me. A girlie one was just fab 🙂 x
