A new deadline Weds 5th March 2014

By | March 5, 2014

Poor T, it should have been an easier week what with receiving his notification of school place on Monday.

Unfortunately it’s not because we are going down the appeal route. This particular school requires unsuccessful parents to liaise with them directly, not via the school admissions department, which has its advantages in that it’s more personal – I guess – but also it’s going to feel more cutting if we are still unsuccessful. Anyway, our little man will not know until 1st June (that’s when we’ll find out) if the appeal was successful or not.

It feels a long way away but I’m sure it will fly by. For T though, it will undoubtedly drag.

All we can do is support him, accept that he needs “his space”, with those calming tools and be there for him. Thank goodness that we won’t have to go through this scenario with D, she will remain at her SN school throughout the rest of her school life *touch wood*.

Speaking of D, a much better day today. The anxieties of yesterday and her injection all gone (until next time). I did get met with *meows* and a downcast D at home time because two fellow pupils had been picking on her at lunchtime (yes, 3 hours beforehand) and she’d stored that upset up, not having the confidence to either answer back or tell anyone she was upset. Apart from me. Plenty of cuddles were prescribed and administered on the way home.

One thing I’ve been glad of is the sunshine today. With T feeling anxious and D feeling fragile, there has been scope for one to go into the back garden to escape the other.

I guess this is how we’ll be rolling for a while, ticking over and waiting.

I hope everyone’s day has gone well, comments/RTs/shares as ever welcomed, thanks for reading Jx
