Hurry Up Half Term! Thurs 13th Feb 2014

By | February 13, 2014

Today has been a day which indicates just how much the half term next week is needed and also why the longer school day proposals should not be enforced for every school (I feel a post brewing).

D has been less than 100% this week, not sufficiently enough to keep her off school, just extremely tired and whilst she went into school happily and laughing after we’d played The Green Car game” on the way to school, it was a completely different D at the end of the day.

She had had trampolining after-school club which she normally enjoys but it was an extremely tearful D we collected. Wailing and seeking cuddles, she wasn’t able to tell us what was wrong at first and then told me she’d been crying for most of the lesson (cue immense guilt). I know that staff prefer that pupils work it through but I’d much rather collect her early in that situation.

At least we only have one day until the half term break, it’s definitely needed.

T has had a bit of a mixed day, really quite agitated. The combination of pre-half term tiredness and his lack of football-playing is playing a factor I think. It’s not like he had go and bounce it out on the trampoline at the moment either.

A definite TGIF tomorrow feeling, I hope everyone’s day has gone well, comments/RTs/shares as ever welcomed, thanks for reading Jx
