Can’t wait to go back #MagicMoments #WhatsTheStory
By Jeannette | February 3, 2014
Today (post scheduled on Sunday) we were looking at the calendar and working out how long it is to the February half term. The answer is not long. As I explained to D, it’s two Mondays, two Tuesdays etc etc…..
I asked D what she’d like to do at half term, her instant answer was “play in the snow”. Unfortunately that is something I can’t guarantee or muster together, but mud puddles….? No problem!
Her next answer was “Go to Legoland” and again, I had to disappoint as Legoland won’t be open.
This led to a chat about the last time we went, on the day before T’s birthday (November 4th) and I realised a couple of things:
1. That that was about the time that I lost my domain for a few days and hasn’t time flown by?
and
2. It had been a fantastic day that had really stuck in D’s memory and I should investigate when the park was re-opening this year for her.
When we went to Legoland, we chose 3rd November for a couple of reasons, it was the day before T’s birthday and, being near to the end of the season, it would hopefully not be too busy.
Here’s some pictures of our fantastic, magical day and even though it was cold, the sky was lovely and blue. It really was a fantastic Autumn day.
D loved “making friends” with this Lego girl in the shop, we wondered how many bricks it took to make her.
The Spinning Spider ride, a chance for everyone to squeal as the capsules spun around. T hated this ride when we first tried it a few years ago, he loved it on this visit!
We went on a LOT of water rides, all wearing the yellow capes that made us look like minions. They did the job though! I didn’t take pictures as was terrified of dropping my phone. Those fast, wet rides are the ones that my thrill-seeking T and D really enjoyed.
Having a mini-battle, they were enjoying themselves until it got competitive! The pictures are a bit blurry but it was nice to see them enjoying themselves:
As ever, D loved finding and posing in front of the many Lego figures, this prince and princess one was a particular favourite:
Aside from the (cold) water rides, both T and D loved the fast roller coaster rides. D and T squealed at the top of their voices as the rides dived and swirled around. The Dragon ride was the one they wanted to go on again and again.
D’s expression said it all, she loved it!
So, unfortunately we won’t be able to go in half term but Easter holidays are not far off and *fingers crossed*, we’ll get there, making some magical memories and squealing away!

Funnily enough I was only talking about taking my eldest to Legoland yesterday – it’s quite a mission for us in terms of distance and money so it won’t be happening just yet but it’s on the to do list!

I know what you mean, I don’t drive so it’s a lot to get there by train, hope you enjoy it when you do go 🙂
