Tick-Tock Sun 5th Jan 2014

It was inevitable, the return to school is looming and it is playing on T and D’s mind, T’s especially.
A combination of the fact that the return to school is on Wednesday for T; the emotions of the past couple of weeks; homework; the blooming weather (sorry); the fact that his sister can irritate him and his competitive streak on FIFA have all contributed to an angst-ridden, quite emotional T today.
I think the realisation that his secondary school allocation will be known in early March is preying on his mind too. A massive step for anyone but bring the anxieties associated with autism into the mix, autism that can be masked and therefore not taken into account at his primary school..
Tomorrow he’ll be on a play date with a friend from school, it will give him a chance to just be an 11-year old T, having a laugh with his friend, with no doubt a bit of FIFA 14. I hope so anyway, and then football training.
D has had a reasonable day, a few stomps and outbursts but nothing that couldn’t be solved by her tight-tight hugs. She was wearing a t-shirt today which had the words “Just being myself” in a little corner of the design, which I thought was very appropriate.
I hope everyone’s day has gone well, comments/RTs/shares as ever welcomed, thanks for reading Jx
