Team work Thurs 2nd Jan 2014 #R2BC

I’m having a bit of a multi-task tonight and including this week’s Reasons To Be Cheerful in today’s diary post.

Becky is hosting and there’s always a lot of positivity within the linked up posts.

So, what are my Reasons today?

1. On route from a family visit I took T and D to see our old house. We’d moved from there when T was 18 months old and D was 6 weeks from being born. T was born in the living room in the middle little house in the photo below and whilst we’ve been in a different area for 9.5 years, it obviously still has fond memories.

I look back and think how did we all fit in, in this little two-up, two-down? It prompted some interesting chats with T.

2. We had a trip to a (very) busy town today. One thing I never mind buying is books for my little bookworms. I found some Christmas books half-priced in the sale, one of them (the scanimation one) I couldn’t find anywhere before Christmas so, to find it and at half price was brilliant!

D particularly liked the book about the brussel sprout which nobody wanted and she was very pleased with the ending.

3. It seems way too early for creme eggs but I found these in Boots today. Hubbie likes them but always remarks how much smaller they seem to be..

4. My final reason for today is this:

T and D working together and playing Skylanders Swap Force. Hormones, approaching puberty and autism mean that at times they really don’t like each other and I feel like I’m referee-ing a lot of the time. Today though, for about half an hour, they were working together and T was assisting D in getting through a level. She was accepting his help and they were both laughing. It was lovely to see and hear.

One of my favourite songs is called Sister and Brother and I hope T and D always have that bond.

So, in keeping with the “Positivity Rules” mantra, here’s our day.
Thanks for reading Jx
