Sort of Saturday – Sat 18th Jan 2014

Poor T, he cannot wait for Spring and the slightly better weather. He has all the anticipation of playing in a football match and then it will be called off, primarily due to flooded car parks and water-logged pitches.
Of course, we are fortunate. The back garden may resemble a mud-wrestling pitch after an event but we’re not flooded, it’s inconvenient but it will all dry out, eventually.
But to a child who relies on routine and knowing precisely what is happening and when, the build up to a game and then the disappointment when it is called off is getting to T. He told me this morning how long its been since his team have played a game and, by his reckoning, it’s as long as a school summer holiday ie. a long time to an eleven year old.
The team did manage a training session this morning so at least there was some semblance of routine, with T and Hubbie leaving for that, then their watching of a men’s team game this afternoon.
So, routine is slowly returning (ish) on a Saturday and, for T, is very welcomed.
D has had a flapping, bouncing, cuddling day. She’s been happy to read and chill a bit after a long week at school.
It didn’t stop the sniping as soon as T and D were in the same room this evening but, for the most part, they’ve (separately) enjoyed their day.
I hope everyone’s day has gone well, comments/RTs/shares as ever welcomed, thanks for reading Jx
