Show Me The Veggies! #WobblesWednesday

By | January 29, 2014

The title was meant to be a play on “Show Me The Money” from Jerry Maguire.

Veggies, I love them! Always have done. If we’re out for a meal, I will leave my veg til last because they’re the best bit for me. I was delighted therefore when Fiona from Coombe Mill linked up a rather yummy recipe last week, one that I’ve enjoyed trying out.

I’ve not been feeling great this week, both my ears feel a bit foggy and that’s not surprising when the weather is fluctuating so much.

But instead of giving in to the blips – as per last week (and so many of us did, but well done for still sharing your posts), I’ve been turning to my veggies.

It’s ironic that, having two children with sensory issues which extend to their eating, that my craving whilst pregnant with T was watermelon and with D were cherry tomatoes. D shares – to some extent – a veg love and will eat a bowl of peas, sweet corn or carrots, but present any mashed or roasted and it’s a definite “no”.

Of course though, there comes the question of what to put on top of said veg, a full fat cheese sauce is not ideal but a tomato and pepper sauce or simply a little bit of grated cheese (a little does go a long way) and black pepper is lovely.

I’m partly through Josie Gibson’s book:

and will share my thoughts on it in next week’s post.

But enough about me, how’s everyone’s week gone?

Please grab my badge and link up below. I will read, comment on and share posts linked up, looking forward to reading 🙂

Thanks Vicky, looking forward to reading how you go on. I did a three day juice diet last year and although it was hard work, I felt really energised x
