A Promise #Prose4T
By Jeannette | January 2, 2014
Readers of my blog will know that 2013 was not the best year for us, it’s a New Year, new start for 2014 and I can’t wait.
In the midst of my optimism, my Hubbie is juggling his emotions and work, I need to be his rock, now more than ever, as well as the various juggling acts of day-to-day life.
Today’s #Prose4T hosted by Vicky at vevivos.com is for him.
A Promise
We’ve seen some stressful times this last year,
I’m here for you.
Sorrow replacing Christmas cheer,
I will support you.
There are emotional times ahead,
I’ll stand by you.
Tears of sadness, cries of dread,
We’re a strong team together.
Emotions masked by need for routine,
This current storm we will weather.
Hand in hand we will overcome,
I’m beside you.
Can’t turn back time, what’s done is done,
Lets look forward together.
Forward to Spring and Summer fun,
Laughter in better weather,
We’ll get through this time somehow and however.

The loss of a parent is so hard. My Dad passed away three years ago and it still feels quite raw. Your husband is very lucky to have you to support him.

What a lovely tribute to the relationship between you and your husband. I hope that whatever 2014 brings, you will be ok and get through the rough times without too much trouble. Thank you for coming back to Prose for Thought this year xx
