Glitter – our Elf On The Shelf – ventured out into the hall today.
She settled on our countdown to Christmas board, which D is really enjoying crossing off every day. If you look closely, you might see that she’s written “hooray” (just under the 3) at the bottom, she is VERY excited!
Which makes recent events all the more poignant. We had years of D not being excited over Christmas and just treating it as another day, I want her to enjoy Christmas before I break it to her gently about her Nanny. She hasn’t picked up on anything at the moment and I’d like her to stay in that happy bubble for a few more days.
Tonight’s festive (I think) tune is one that was played on last night’s TOTP2 (Top Of The Pops 2) Christmas special. It’s a cover of Gaudete, a song I’d never heard before, by Erasure.
