Keeping the house safer with a Light Switch Timer
By Jeannette | December 9, 2013
Recently we were sent a programmable Light Switch Timer to review.
With the nights drawing in earlier end the fact that 4 out of 5 burglaries occur when there is no one at home, the visible deterrent of a light switch timer is a welcome addition to any home.
I can do most DIY jobs around the home but the thought of doing anything electrical really scares me. The best thing about the Light Switch Timer is that there is absolutely no wiring involved, merely unscrewing slightly the two screws and slotting the cradle in between the wall and the switch, then re-screwing. The control unit can then be slotted in, it is really that simple.
This short video (click on the word “video”) also demonstrates just how simple it is to install.
You will need 2 x AA batteries to enable the programming.
The Light Switch Timer is available at a price of £27.99 on-line here. but there is a special offer running until 15th December.
Buy 2 and save an additional 10% and free postage with code: Lights-on expires (15th December).
I’ve found it not only handy for programming for when we’re getting home when it’s dark but also for the lighting at night. T likes to fall asleep with a hall light on, I can’t sleep in any light, so having a timer that turns the light off at say, 10pm, means that we’re both happy!
A very welcome addition to our home and thanks to Light Switch Timer for the opportunity to review such a great idea.
