..that we’d have an extremely fraught day with D.
The combination of losing Bunny, a heavy cold, a hospital trip yesterday which involved blood tests, a busy environment and a painful injection, coupled with tablets to be taken twice a day from today have made for a very emotional D.
I don’t blame her in the slightest, the mixture of circumstances above have left me exhausted so goodness knows how she’s feeling deep down.
We’ve veered from her giving out rib-crushing cuddles because it makes her feel better to sudden stomps away to her happily customising a box that arrived today. She had no interest in the contents, just the box.
And then these:
Done from a children’s craft magazine. I think they’re great, especially the snowman, he had the tiniest little tinsel scarf supplied.
The tablets are the thing that will cause issues ongoing though, I’ve had some great suggestions for (hopefully) making implementation easier – thank you Twitter – and I’ve started a countdown on our big blackboard wall from 60 to 1 so she’ll be able to see how many days we have left. It seemed totally daft that she is having half a tablet twice a day and not just a whole one once, but I guess they know what they’re doing, it would have made it easier for us though.
T’s had a good day, participating and watching football. We’ve tried explaining to him why D has been a bit overwrought these last few days and unfortunately his empathy isn’t terribly high, but that’s our T, bless him.
