The Big Moaner #funee
By Jeannette | November 6, 2013
It seems a little bit mean to write this funee today, whilst poor old Mr Bluecrisps is suffering at home with "man flu" but …here goes.
Whenever it’s hair clippers time at home, I dread it. It’s not the fact that T wriggles and squirms, I can cope with that. It’s the fact that DECADES of football watching and seeing how the players over react has made Mr Bluecrisps act in a similar way when it’s clipper-time.
Every stroke of the clippers is met with an "ow! careful!" and, however gentle or quick I try to be, it’s the same.
I need to be fair (ish) I guess and mention that he’s always bumping his head on things when he’s up his ladder painting so maybe it’s all a bit tender too.
We’ve got some nice, new, quiet and gentle (according to the reviews) clippers so we started with the haircut. D was soon drawn into the room by the yelps and protests of her dad and so (wicked wife that I am), I asked if she wanted to have a go (hoping that the protests might ease off a bit).
D willing agreed and was very gentle, barely making an impact on the tufts, but the protests still continued.
Eventually she gave up, handed them back to me and declared that "Daddy was a Big Moaner".
Out of the mouths of babes, eh?

Sounds like she’s totally got the measure of her Dad! To be fair, there’s no way I’d be clipping for him if he whined like that – maybe he should train up D!
