Disquiet Sun 24th Nov 2013
By Jeannette | November 24, 2013
There was only one title for tonight’s blog, I know the feeling has been shared by my lovely twitter friend Karen in Inverness too:
noun:
1. lack of calm, peace, or ease; anxiety; uneasiness.
Verb:
2. to deprive of calm or peace.
Adjective:
3. Archaic. uneasy.
[1520–30]
Whilst it hasn’t been an all-out disastrous day – homework that needed to be done has been done (amid protests) – it has been a "matchstick situation" as far as T and D are concerned.
By that I mean that some situations merely passed them by but others would light one proverbial match, then other and then other, until we had a definite situation.
There have been squabbles, little asides (which one knows irritates the other), pushes, shoves and general disquiet. It was to be expected, bearing in mind the busy Saturday they both had but it would have been nice to buck the trend.
D was full of enthusiasm this morning to not just draw her Christmas list but also write it, but that petered out under the circumstances, one month and one day to go…
A new week looms tomorrow and with it brings more Christmas preparations in terms of rehearsals for productions etc. D’s is on the 10th and I’m glad it’s earlier because it will give her a chance to wind down afterwards before end of term activities. T’s is in the last week of term, the younger years are being in the week or so before.
A definite disquiet day for us, I hope everyone’s has gone well. Comments/RTs/shares as ever welcomed, thanks for reading Jx 😘

Well I have to comment now don’t I?
Been so busy I’m only just catching up on all the weekend blogs, and safe to say disquiet is a word I am oh so familiar with. BUT, after a shaky start this morning, all went well for the school run, and sometimes you won’t get a bigger gift than that all day.
Wishing you an absence of disquiet this week Jeannette xx
