Mr Bluecrisps’ Top Tunes – a belated Birthday Music Monday
By Jeannette | October 7, 2013
Today’s Music Monday is …..umm…377 days late!
Before Mr Bluecrisps had a BIG birthday last year, I asked him if he’d write down his top 50 tunes for a post. What with one thing and another – mostly life (!) – it’s only just been completed.
Cue my favorite TOTP theme (this isn’t one of his choices btw):

phil lynott – yellow pearl 7" (scream intro)
written by Phil Lynott and Midge Ure, this song was the intro track for “Top of the Pops” in the UK.
I’m going to list from 1-51 and am only including videos and his reasons why for the top 5, over to Mr Bluecrisps….

Hazel O’Connor (born 16 May 1955 Coventry, England) is an English singer-songwriter and actress. She is the daughter of a soldier from Galway who settled in England after World War II to work in a car plant. She became famous in the early 1980s with hit singles “Eighth Day”, “D-Days” and “Will You”, as well as starring in the film Breaking Glass.

4. Lita Ford – Lisa
"Probably a surprise for J at this choice but a rock ballad with powerful words and very well expressed".
5. Midge Ure – (You) Move Me
"Although it’s not the acoustic version from the album in this video, this song has special words for J and I and brings back very happy memories of a very special day, this tune will always be in my heart. The acoustic version was played during our wedding ceremony".
