The Guilty – new 3-part drama on ITV1
By Jeannette | September 5, 2013
There is a new drama starting tonight (5th September) on ITV1 at 9pm, from the storyline – outlined below – I’d be watching it anyway. The combination of Katherine Kelly and Tamsin Greig (I think the latter is such a versatile actress) is going to make for interesting viewing.
The fact that the Tamsin Greig character will be investigating the unexplained disappearance and death of a child whilst coming to terms with an autism diagnosis for her own child will be no doubt harrowing for the character.
There seems to be a greater awareness of autism in dramas recently (The Politician’s Husband for example, shown recently on BBC2) and this can only lead to greater awareness.
I’m looking forward to watching it.

The Guilty is set across two timelines – 2008 and present day – and tells the story of DC Maggie Brand (Tamsin Greig – Episodes, Friday Night Dinner), who investigates the disappearance of little Callum Reid whilst coping with her own young son’s diagnosis with autism.
