Our Summer #CountryKids #R2BC
By Jeannette | August 31, 2013
T and D go back to school next week, it feels like the last few weeks have flown by.
We haven’t been away, it’s Hubbie’s busiest work period and they’re comfortable in their own home and garden, with their toys and comforters. I think they’ve had fun, here’s some of our pictures:
The buddleia bushes have been a source of food for so many butterflies and bees this year. It’s been a bit strange to have bees buzzing in my ear when I’m putting out the washing but they’re just flying by to get to the nectar and pollen.
The over-ground frame pool, this has virtually been in constant use. There’s been wave-games, ball games and battleships albeit in inflatable doughnuts. The surrounding garden has certainly had a good water! It’s kept T and D outdoors and away from their gadgets:
We’re luckily enough to have a big field near us, owned by the University but they let locals use it. It’s been a source of water balloons, kite flying and ball play:
Occasional garden visitors included Fred the Frog, he started out in the pool, we moved him into some stagnant (urgh!) insect-filled water:
And our silly old cats, always on hand to "help" with the recycling/gardening:
I think they’ve had a good time, I have!

Looks likes a busy, but fun summer. The photos are lovely, especially the flowers and butterflies / bees.

With the glorious summer we’ve had there has been no need to be anywhere else! I can see from the collage of photos that it’s been a fun outdoor summer for you all. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
