“Overgrown hair” A Funee post

Poor D, the heat is all getting too much for her and her hair.

I cut in a fringe a few months ago and she looks incredibly cute but, with the onset of tweenhood, spots and the heat, I’ve been finding ways to get her fringe off her forehead.

I’ve tried hair bands, kirby grips and elastic hair ties but sooner or later, it creeps down.

I picked D up yesterday and she had her sunhat on but her fringe had escaped and she resembles a smaller but sweaty Ozzie. "Mumma, my hair is overgrown!" she squawked as soon as she saw me, she had to be disuaded from hacking at it with her craft scissors as soon as we got home too.

Grow fringe…grow!

I did this with my daughter, left it to grow long and then…..I really didn’t like it so had it chopped back into a fringe!

Aww she’s adorable! I’m having the same problem with my 4 year old’s hair… except he’s a boy and doesn’t seem interested in clips 😉

Hello! Have you tried putting a little fringe plait in her hair? Now, I was in D’s position when I had my fringe and it stuck to my forehead. The plaits are super on-trend and look super cute on little ones! And they fit well with either hair worn long or tied back 🙂 They stay in all day with a bit of spritz (and even all night) and still look pretty at the end of the day! Best way I’ve found of keeping my fringe out of my face!

I cut my hair once……. Mum has still never forgiven me….. Lucas cuts hair though I wouldn’t recommend it. She looks beautiful; her hair is gorgeous – would actually kill for hair like that x Popping over from#wotsofunee

cute photos. I remember a school friend trying to grow her fringe out and that was a real struggle. The most success she had was with one of those thick alice band things – the fabric ones. I also had a fringe disaster before my wedding. I cut myself a fringe and it only just grew out in time for the wedding day. So at least she’ll have plenty of time for it to grow out before it affects any wedding plans xxx

Oh those fringes! Could never decide if I wanted one until I was 38!
