Sunday 22nd April

D has been a little bit up and down today. We had to wait in for a Sky TV man, no specific time given – know what they’re like – and he arrived just as tea was ready. Routines, routines…
Strange man arrives (sort of) unexpectedly, cue a meltdown and D very agitated. Fortunately he wasn’t here long.

I’ve been chatting to T today and we’re going to incorporate him & me time into our weekends. He gets plenty of male-bonding time with Hubbie at football etc but no time with me. I can’t take him out and leave D with Hubbie – with the best will in the world that wouldn’t work – so we’ll try putting D’s favourite film on and using that time to chat.

I have asked him about SN siblings clubs but he’s not keen ATM. I don’t ever want him to resent his sister, he’s very protective of her.

Tomorrow I start again with the phonecalls and GP liaison to try and get D on that waiting list so I’m glad I’ve had a chance to recharge!

Bunny! That faithful companion. Normally to be found in D’s hand or armpit if she’s drawing and occasionally thrown about during meltdowns.
