Resist No More – Mon 16th Nov 2015

By | November 16, 2015

I realised last night that I’ve been on Twitter for 4 years and blogging for nearly 4 too.  Gosh!  That’s a lot of tweets and posts.

I’ve always resisted Facebook, partly because I didn’t feel confident enough to say “this is me” and mostly because of my children.  I’ve seen screen shots where, once there is an atrocity, mental health issues are blamed.  Unfortunately sometimes it turns out to be correct and I didn’t feel comfortable putting myself out there, saying “yes, both my children have autism and I’m proud of them”.  This was before I knew about filters and stuff.

Last night I took the plunge and signed up.  You can find me here, if I’ve copied over the link correctly.  If I have, this leads to my AutismMumma page which should be part of my FB account.  Give it a “like”, “prod”, “poke” or whatever the terminology is, like I said, I’m a newbie.

One thing I absolutely love is putting faces to names on there.  It’s great that I can “friend” a bloggy/twitter buddy and loads of suggestions come up, of people that they have “friended” and I know them too.

So, hope to see you there, this is my profile picture below btw so you’ll know it’s me, I discovered there was another lady, with the exact same name, two “n’s” and everything.  She looks happy and lovely but it’s not me:

And our day? Well, we had the usual Monday morning gripes and stomps, some have extended to this afternoon too.  I wouldn’t be without them though.  Not one bit.  The gripes and stomps are part of the package too.

welcome to facebook. I got addicted to it a few years ago and then weaned myself off so hardly on there these days. x

Thanks, I can see it would be really easy to spend a lot of time on there, I barely keep up at the moment! But felt it was time to stick the blog on there and it seems necessary for comps and stuff these days too x
