My Word Of The Week and #R2BC

By | January 15, 2015

It’s that time, nearly Friday and a chance to think about a word to sum up our week and get positive.

It was a week that started with me feeling absolutely terrified, as I had for the previous 10 days or so, because I’d been sent for an early mammogram in mid December and then recalled in a letter at end December. The statistics in the accompanying leaflet were scary; out of 100 routine mammograms, they’d recall 4 and of those 4, 1 would result in a cancer diagnosis.

I had another mammogram on Monday, got sent out to wait with a nervous Hubbie and then called in to see a consultant. She started off by saying that she was fairly sure there was nothing to worry about but they wanted to do an ultrasound.

Which was all clear. I have a love-hate relationship with my chest and they aren’t going to be the thing to get the best of me, not at the moment anyway.

So, that is one huge Cheerful reason and ever since Monday, I’ve felt Re-energised, which is my Word For The Week.

The rest of Monday was a “phew” kind of time and a chance to explain to T and D in terms they’d understand why their Mumma had been a bit of a “cat on a hot tin roof” on Sunday.

More R2BC:

D was very anxious about trying out an after school dance club (very) but enjoyed it and is happy to go back next week.

T has had a trial for the school football team, something he’s rather keen on.

I’ve got very muddy in the garden moving the trampoline around and planting out some more coverage plants.

Assembling a couple of fab Gel dining chairs, they give such an illusion of more light and space in a room that doesn’t get a great deal of sunlight and generally more decluttering.

I hit over 10,000 on my Fitbit today, yay! It’s only been active since yesterday lunchtime so onwards and upwards.

All with a renewed vigour and energy because a big blooming cloud has been lifted, which always helps, doesn’t it?

Hubbie has since (grrr, bless him!) had a moan about a pile of paperwork so that’s next week sorted!

Glad all was well. I had same experience with Mammogram, and all ok after ultrasound, it has worried me for next time though.

I know what you mean but at least they’ll have something to measure against for you for next time.
