I Love … #CountryKids
By Jeannette | July 12, 2014
I love our little piece of the country. We’re half an hour by bus away from a busy commuter town, so close enough for a brilliant shopping centre, but far enough away to feel like we’re away from the hustle and bustle.
I love the buddleia growing in the garden, providing a little pit stop for the bees and butterflies. The children have got used to seeing the insects flying in and out and there’s always a reassuring “yes, we’re here” buzzzzzz when I’m putting out the washing.
I love that this year we have some fruit growing:
Blueberries in the front garden that T looks forward to picking before school:
Conference pears and boysenberries in the back garden:
I love that our cats either wait for us on the front slope:
Or in our twisty trees, we can be coming home wondering where they are and suddenly there’s a “meeeeooooowwww!” and a cat or two will spring out, ready for a roll and a tummy tickle:
I love how the guinea pigs contribute in their own little way by keeping their grass short…nibble, nibble!
I love that there is a massive field within walking distance where T and D can run around, play with a ball and fly their kites:
I love living here.

Thanks Jaime, we only had two blueberries and zero pears last year so, glad it’s a bit more this summer!

I am a bit jealous of your blueberry and pear trees! What a lovely garden to enjoy the summer in with the added bonus of the huge area close by for the children to burn off some energy too. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.

Thanks Fiona, they’ve taken a while to establish but glad the children will experience very fresh fruit this year 🙂

Your harden is in full bloom! Yes your place looks lovely. Easy access to the town and yet w/o the noise that town center brings =) #countrykids
