Getting there.. Thurs 5th Dec 2013

By | December 5, 2013

We have a calmer D tonight, both in terms of her cold (she is slowly losing her Rudolph nose and red “moustache”) and the lack of Bunny.

There is still no sign of Bunny at school and I guess without D being physically there, they aren’t appreciating just how much distress Bunny’s absence has been causing. I’ll be requesting that letters and pictures go home on Monday and that’s about all I can do. What I want to avoid is an extremely cross D blaming everyone so if she can see me being proactive, that may help.

Bunny’s “sister” – on the right above – is gently being introduced, just in case, but it’s not the same in terms of all of D’s sensory requirements.

It has been nice to see D smile today, something that’s been absent for a few days.

We did her Christmas letter online here at DearSanta.com and that’s made her cheerful, the “elves” have acknowledged it too!

She has a hospital appointment tomorrow, so hopefully her lessening cold will enable her to sleep a bit better, Bunny anxieties aside.

T’s had a good day. He played in the school football team in a match today and has another tomorrow. Both matches are during the school day, which I find a bit strange but T was very pleased about! His school team won 5:1 and T scored a goal. A happy chap but unfortunately it didn’t extend to any empathy towards D.

A new day tomorrow, with new challenges and getting closer to the end of a quite draining week. I hope everyone’s day has gone well, comments/RTs/shares as ever welcomed, thanks for reading Jx
