#BookWormWednesday "Wendy Quill is a Crocodile's Bottom"

It’s not very often that the title of a book makes me giggle but "Wendy Quill is a Crocodile’s Bottom" certainly did! I decided to read it whilst waiting for news as my mum recovered from an operation and was soon stiffling giggles in the waiting area.

The book is written by Wendy Meddour, who is the Wendy in the title and was an actual crocodile’s bottom!

The book contains three sections, each detailing an episode from Wendy’s life, very much in a Charlie and Lola vein, very readable and designed to appeal to the (I’d say) 8-12 age group. Suitable for boys and girls, despite the pink cover, T giggles away at any mention of a "bottom" so he particularly enjoyed that antidote.

The book is accompanied by simply loads of drawings by Wendy’s daughter and, having a daughter who loves to draw myself, I was impressed with how the drawings were tailored to the stories.

Well worth a holiday read!

The book is available from Amazon – http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/0192794639/ref=redir_mdp_mobile and other retailers.

Disclaimer: we received a book as part of a draw organised by Mumsnet.
